Traffic regulations and driving – Portugal
Renting and driving a car is mostly easy and effortless but as in all countries there are many traffic regulations in Portugal you must follow. If you are going to visit and drive in large cities such as Lisbon, Setúbal, Porto, Queluz, Braga, Funchal, Vila Nova de Gaia, Coimbra, Amadora, Cacém prepare yourself on long queues, especially in rush hour and that is sometimes is difficult to find parking. Try to memorize the most common parking and traffic regulations before you leave to insure that your car trip is safe and to avoid trouble with the police.
